Laid-back day
Nice laid-back day. My back is really bothering me. I am not panicking about this because I've been here before. Walking without crutches (around the house) is painful and I feel like my left leg wants to collapse. It does not hurt sitting or laying down. It does not hurt walking with crutches but with crutches I have a hard time standing straight up. Over the last 5 years I have had many weeks like this (months). In 2002, I had back pain for months and then it went away. In December 2004, I had back surgery and have felt well since. I'm trying to sort out my options: wait, go back to the back surgeon, etc. I have to see my regular Dr. in June but last time I saw him he was unsympathetic. So pray for me.
Kathee completely cleaned the house today. I sorted through mail and reviewed the owner's manual for the alarm system. I went grocery shopping with Kathee but only made it half way (to the back of the store), then I rested in the car.
Kathee made an excellent dinner for us: 12 oz steak split 2 ways w. picante sauce and veggie sides.
Bible time was Judges 5 & 6. Highlights:
Judges 5:2 "“When leaders lead in Israel, When the people willingly offer themselves, Bless the LORD!"
Judges 6:16 "And the LORD said to [Gideon], “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.”"
