Beloved Pastor Yarworth with the Lord

Pastor John Yarworth was our Pastor while I was in seminary school. Kathee saw his obituary in the Baptist Bulletin today.

I searched on legacy.com and found his obit from 2 newspapers:

YARWORTH, John Roberts, 83, retired minister, of Austin died Wednesday. Survived by wife Dot. Services 2 p.m. Sunday, Bannockburn Baptist Church. Arrangements by Austin-Peel & Son.

Published in the Austin American-Statesman on 2/10/2007

Rev. John R. Yarworth, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior, February 7, 2007. Surviving are his beloved wife, Dottie; four children; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He served his Lord faithfully for 35 years in the pastorate, and was loved by all who knew him. On behalf of the family, we would ask all our readers to remember us in prayer at this time.

Comment: He was our Pastor (Good News Baptist, Grand Rapids, MI) for 2 years while we were at Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. At one low time in our ministry when we were desparate for money, he and Dottie sent us a check for $ 100. He was a very good man!
