It’s the Truth, but Not the Whole Truth

Carfax agreed to the settlement, but has denied wrongdoing.

"Nowhere do we claim we have every accident," said Larry Gamache, a Carfax spokesman. "We can't even get our heads around how many accidents happen in the United States. There are a significant portion that go unreported."

Comments:

1. The best used car is from someone you know who bought it new! (In my own opinion)
   
2. We've used the Carfax service the last time we bought a used car (from a dealer). I would use it again and recommend it.
   
3. From the article: "the lawyers representing them [received] $566,000."
