lifting up holy hands
lifting up holy hands
The above link is an excellent explanation of "lifting up holy hands"
1 Timothy 2:8, "I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting"

Scripture from Revelation
Praise in Heaven: Rev 5:12-13
"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!"
"Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!"
Thoughts on Worship:
- We are commanded to worship corporately
- "corporately" means that we are to worship with other people in an organized way
- Worship means to "ascribe worth" to our Savior
- "Church" is the English word for the Greek "called out assembly"
- Some things can only be done effectively in groups.
- I can personally and alone ascribe worth (worship) my Savior ...
- But by gathering with others (the called out assembly), we corporately ascribe worth as a public testimony to others that we are saved.
- Worship takes planning and energy: we have to purpose to get out of bed, drive to church .. etc
- If God values and commands us to worship Him
- We need to make it a priority
