Balaam and the talking donkey

Our reading tonight was from Numbers 22 & 23. Some key verses:

1. 22:12, "And God said to Balaam, “You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people, for they are blessed.”"
   
2. 22:22, "Then God’s anger was aroused because he went, and the Angel of the LORD took His stand in the way as an adversary against him. And he was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him"
   
3. 22:28, "Then the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?”"
   
4. 2 Peter 2:15, "They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness"
   
5. Jude 11, "Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah"
   
6. Revelation 2:14, "But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality."
