I've used my copy of the 1611--which sadly does not retain the Gothic script in the Text--as evidence against certain proponents of the KJV-only position.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it would be a good thing if we got a real copy of the 1611 in front of all the advocates of the AV and asked them if they could even read it. My guess is that about 85% of the time, the answer would be "no."
