Saturday respite
We have had a beautiful Fall day in Plymouth, Minnesota.
- Weather in the 70's
- I slept in until 8:15 a.m.
- Errands with Kathee.
- I took my truck through the car wash for the first time in 6 months
- I took a 45 min nap while the Minnesota - Penn State game was playing.
- I mowed my yard - mostly leaf chop up. The fern is gone for the season. Willows still in full leaf.
- Kathee is making "healthy chili". I forgot what this is exactly but I'm sure it will be good.
- Brother and Nathan will be here for dinner.
- Tomorrow church @ 4th Baptist
"Filled with the Spirit" = "word of Christ dwell(ing) richly "
Colossians 3:16, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord"
Ephesians 5:18-19, "And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, "
What Does It Mean to Be Filled with the Spirit?
Quote: "A directly parallel passage to Ephesians 5:18 is Colossians 3:16, which explains in a slightly different way the meaning of the command “be filled with the Spirit.” The Apostle Paul says, “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you.” One can be filled with the Spirit only when controlled by the Word. It is knowing truth and obeying it."
