Dr. John C. Whitcomb @ 4th today
Wow!
This morning's message on the Genesis Flood. I had an opportunity to meet Dr Whitcomb before the service. Tonight our son, Roger, met him.
Interesting about Dr. Whitcomb:
- He was saved in 1943 while a Freshman at Princeton.
- Enlisted in the Army and served at the Battle of the Bulge (Europe)
- He met Albert Einstein while he was a student a Princeton. Einstein attended a Moody Science film presentation on campus

Key verses from his evening message:
- Psalm 104:5-9 "You who laid the foundations of the earth, So that it should not be moved forever, You covered it with the deep as with a garment; The waters stood above the mountains. At Your rebuke they fled; At the voice of Your thunder they hastened away. They went up over the mountains; They went down into the valleys, To the place which You founded for them. You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, That they may not return to cover the earth.
- Job 12:7-10, "“But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; And the birds of the air, and they will tell you; Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; And the fish of the sea will explain to you. Who among all these does not know That the hand of the LORD has done this, In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?"
- 2 Peter 3:3-6, "knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."
