This is the Blog of a guy who retired from a major financial institution in technology. I chose the title "Cold Fusion Guy" because I love programming in Cold Fusion

JP, I have a question for you. I certainly hope I'm wrong and very off base, but I have to be honest and admit that things don't look real rosy. I believe the dollar could collapse, that it will be replaced with a new international monetary unit, and we will have a "new world order" of some kind and it will be a global, socialistic, facist type of government. Anyone who's honest will say that this is NOT a far out, stupid, right-wing, conspiratorial nut scenario. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong, but I see this as a possibility with all that is happening right now.
ReplyDeleteRemember those rapture movies in the 70's? ("Thief In The Night" etc.) Howcome on some fundamentalist sites we can get away from traditional pre-millenniallism and actually mock and scorn (in a friendly manner) any "anti-intellectual" who actually has the audacity to still belive in the rapture? Why can we equate anyone who believes in "end times" as a wingnut? Why in "fundamentalism" (whatever that is) is it ok to now have disagreements in eschatology and not have it be a big deal? By the way, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. Good people can disagree over this but still be united in the fundamentals of the faith...........But why is it somehow controversial when a so called "liberal" institution has disagreements over eschatology? Am I missing something? How can it be controversial for "them" but not others?
