Weekend happenings

Normally Saturdays are "slacker days" but not tomorrow:

  1. 10:00 AM: Breakfast at the house with our Y/P and his wife and the other couple that we work with in the young adults Wednesday Bible study.
  2. 12:30: Brother coming by. He is doing some website work and I am helping him with the index.html frameset, the graphics, the mouseover effects, and the photo-popups. The website is for a machine shop up in Elk River.
  3. 2:00-ish: Plan to go to the Central Seminary library to study for my next lesson from Ephesians
  4. Dinner: Rachel by for dinner. She is going away on a 2 week business trip so we are looking forward to seeing her.

Kathee and I have just 4 chapters left in Job. We should finish that up tomorrow night and then commence the Psalms next week. Job is not one of my favorite books (true confessions). But it is profitable and has been a blessing. From last night (God to Job): "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?" (38:4). The point is that God is sovereign and He knows exactly what He is doing and does not need our advice! (Hard to believe ... God does not need my advice!).

Tonight we plan to stop by Subway. It's not fancy but it is healthy.

Sunday: Pastor Levy is preaching in the AM at 4th. I look forward to his messages (as well as Dr Brown's). We are having my Brother and his wife by on Sunday.

Weatherwise: It was nasty cold on Wedneday (15 below zero)! Now it is 27. What a difference 42 degrees makes!
