Scope of what is needed

At the end of week 3 of the new job, I have a sense of the scale of what needs to be done:

  1. There is confusion about roles: who writes the Change Record? who requests UAT testing? etc.
  2. With one line of business, we understood that testing had been completed and signed off on, while the reality is that testing has not commenced. Should begin on Monday.
  3. I received a multipage process diagram ... I am confused. Needs work.
  4. Our image distribution failed on distribution servers. No problem ticket written. Engineers have perception that the image is defective when the reality is that the image was corrupted in transmission (and we were not notified). This issue is top on my plate right now.
  5. I have a task of completing the draft of the release management policy by the end of June and I am only 10% done. I did not work on it at all this week.

Scripture: Zechariah 9:9, Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.

My Savior is (quoted in Matthew 21:5):

  1. The King
  2. Righteous (just)
  3. Bringing salvation
  4. Humble

Other:

  1. Big storms tonight
  2. Kathee got a new Thinkpad at work
  3. Updated Emmaus Baptist with Bob & Lorraine's new picture
  4. Am going to install Suse Linux 10.1 on an old P4 tomorrow
  5. Father's Day plan: ribs from Famous Dave's
