'Very unusual' economic conditions

Greenspan: 'Very unusual' economic conditions

Excerpt:

Former U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said Friday that U.S. interest rates are low, but that rates are low all over the world.

He said the prevalence of low interest rates throughout the world was one of the things that surprised him as he prepared his reflections on his past for the new book he was promoting, "The Age of Turbulence."

The book, to be published in September, will also include commentary on the future, as well as reflections on his 18-1/2 years at the helm of the U.S. central bank.

Comment: A must read for anyone who follows econonics and finance. When this guys speaks (about economics) people listen!
