To me, this is amazing hypocrisy. A sportcaster or an entertainer can mention the "N" word in passing and basically ruin their career and never get work again from that one little utterance. Yet a black person can say the same word and no one blinks, or a rap group can say the same word about 50 times in one song. That is unequal. Isn't it about equality of the races? By putting such social contraints in place you are only further putting up a racial wall - if the idea is that all men (women) are created equal and color should not be an issue. You are furthering the racial divide by saying some groups can use some language and other groups can't.
ReplyDeleteTalking about hypocrisy, didn't George Bush get impeached on July 15th? Where are all the newspaper and news networks who hate Bush with this story? Why haven't you heard about this until now? If they hate Bush so much, wouldn't this be the big, bold headlines? Weird.
ReplyDeleteDidn't the House vote overwhelmingly to at least look into impeaching him, on July 15th?

ReplyDeleteAs far as I know the vote was taken. I don't know the purpose of it, since his term is almost up, but I suppose they are making a statement more than actually imposing any kind of action.
Re: Impeachment Vote
ReplyDeleteWon't go anywhere. Along the way Nancy Pelosi will put the kibosh on it becauase: 1.) it doesn't have a chance of passing; 2.) makes the Dems look bad; 3.) He has such a short time left anyways (lame duck!); 4.) it would divert attention away from positive democratic trends in the upcoming election; 5.) It would engender sympathy for the President from his base.
