New Mailbox
Jim Dahlheimer from Homewise Repair installed our new mailbox today. We bought an Avalon at Menards. Lower photo is from January. A new 45° support was also installed. We had lost that more then 10 years ago to a snow plow. Numbers to be installed tomorrow. Existing wood needs to be scraped and painted.

Stephen Lind - Westurn Roofing
FINALLY ... all the roofing details are closed. Allstate sent an inspector last Friday who signed off on the roof work. The Allstate check also arrived Friday (I had hoped to have the roof contract paid off by end of day Friday but we did not get the mail until 6:00 p.m. and by that time Westurn Roofing was closed for the day ... and the weekend.)
I know there are many charlatans in the roofing trade (and in many other trades as well), but Steve Lind really worked hard for the Peets and we appreciate his advocacy on our behalf. What started with hail damage and wind damage last August is now behind us. We have a new roof and tonight it is paid for!

TEEN GOES NUCLEAR

Makes 99.9999% of other kids look stupid! (Note to Roger, Rachel and Nathan: while you have never done this ... you are in the .0001%!)
A good read: TEEN GOES NUCLEAR: He creates fusion in his Oakland Township home
Kathee and I up waiting for Roger and Rachel to wake up for us to have breakfast together at 8:00. Kathee will be making cream of wheat.
We ordered a 36" Christmas wreath from the Boy Scouts. Last night Alex the Scout delivered it ... and it is about 50". Too big for the front door. I intend to enlist Roger to hang it on the front porch.

Hospitable
I Peter 4:8-9, "And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling."
Hospitality is an area where my wife excels. This weekend illustrates this:
- She prepared a chili dinner Saturday night and my older son dropped by for dinner.
- She hosted a young man for a full pot roast dinner (with all the fixen's) after church.
- She hosted two couples for dinner after the Sunday evening service

Clipper CLT1D
Clicker® Universal Garage Door Opener
Roger bought one of these today at Home Depot. Works like a champ and EZ to program. It can control up to 2 doors.
He got his for $ 23.00. I bought 2 this afternoon on Ebay for $ 26.00. Intend to put one in the truck and Velcro one to the dash of my tractor.
