Why I like Tim Pawlenty:

1. He is a pragmatic conservative. By this I mean that he has a conservative philosophy but is not afraid to reach out to work with the DFL (Democratic Farm Labor party)
   
2. He is personable (we met him when Roger was called up for the Iraq war)
   
3. He is a Christian (and his value system pervades his politics)
