Doomed from the start, really. Sears prices with K-Mart quality is now how you take the fight to Wal-Mart and Target.<br /><br />And I bet some of Tobin's neighbors have a spreadsheet on their laptop telling exactly when bankruptcy will be filed. Crazy.<br /><br />But as I now live just a few miles from Sears HQ in Illinois and have a friend working there...it's been clear for years the executives have kept it going kept it afloat as long as they have simply to continue generating income for themselves.
